Introduction to Alternative Processing: Cyanotypes and Digital Negatives

Looking for something beyond digital printing to further your photographic skills?

The Cyanotype process has been used since the early 1800's and is a process you can easily adapt to your own home. Learn how to prepare chemicals, coat paper, expose and process your own prints. The course will also cover how you can prepare and print your own negatives digitally...allowing you to convert your own digital images into a unique work of art.

This class is an INTRODUCTORY level class. Alternative process photography can be an intimidating subject to research alone. The purpose of this course is to introduce the basic concepts and techniques involved in many alternative processes and allow participants to experiment with the cyanotypes process.

In this course, participants will be actively printing and using photographic chemicals. This course is not recommended for those who are pregnant or nursing.
